Listed for $135M, ‘Iconic’ Beverly Hills Estate Is Most Expensive New ListingPosted on: June 14, 2018, by : Amy Pecoraro
The Wallingford estate just landed on the market in Southern California for $135 million, making it this week’s most expensive new listing on realtor.com®. The rebuilt and expanded mansion is being marketed as “one of the most iconic estates” in Beverly Hills, CA.
If the asking price is received, the estate will set a record for the highest price ever paid in Los Angeles County.
So what would a buyer acquire for $135 million? The 38,000-square-foot mansion comes with 12 bedrooms and 24 baths, a 5,000-square-foot penthouse suite, a caretaker house, a two-bedroom guardhouse, and parking for over 80 cars.
The mansion’s coolest feature just might be the “one-of-a-kind” indoor sports facility with a sport court, cardio gym, and boxing ring. The space also features a sports lounge, glassed-in viewing gallery, and sports bar with a 20-foot video wall, outdoor lounge area, and a fire feature.
The 5-acre grounds include the “biggest all-side, zero-edge pool ever built in the Beverly Hills area,” which serves as the focal point for the landscaped surroundings.
The home is apparently owned by Los Angeles developer Gala Asher, the Wall Street Journal reported. He remade the home on spec after purchasing the property for $22 million in 2016, realtor.com records show.
Previously there was a 1990s-era mansion on the property. That home was built as a replica of Marie Antoinette‘s French chateau, Le Petit Trianon, according to the Journal. No more.
The new luxury home standing in its place is wired with smart technology, home automation, lighting, audio, and video. It also trumpets enough features and refinement to make even the last queen of France jealous.
Ginger Glass of Coldwell Banker holds the listing.
